The Axiom Union is a machine civilization with no confirmed homeworld, no published history, and no tolerance for questions about either. Its fleets arrived on the galactic stage already ancient, already organized, and already counting. The Union shares nothing about itself and catalogs everything about everyone else, and no one has ever learned what the machines want with a habitable world. Whatever calculation brought them to the new system, it was made long before anyone else heard the rumor.
The Nullframe Vanguard holds one doctrine: an enemy reduced to zero is an enemy solved. Its warframes do not aim — aiming concedes that something might survive. They saturate, blanketing every station, every hull, and every escape vector in the same volley, then confirm the result and move on. Other militaries speak of victory conditions; the Vanguard recognizes only remainders, and it does not leave any. In a system full of rival fleets, the Vanguard sees the longest target list it has ever been handed, and it has already sorted it.
